INDUS honors Tim Blum as a Super Star

09.25.14

INDUS’s Super Star Program celebrates and honors our outstanding employees. With pleasure, INDUS honors Tim Blum as a Super Star!

Tim Blum has been with INDUS for 7 years and has worked on a broad range of projects. He was initially hired as GIS programmer to support EPA’s EnviroMapper project. He then moved to our CBP project and managed the production of maps and geospatial analysis to protect our Nation’s borders. Tim also worked on our DOT contact managing the FHWA’s QlikView investigation project and developing web mapping applications using ESRI’s Silverlight API. He moved back to HQ and has been supporting the RAD, ATTAINS, and IDEA projects putting his geospatial expertise to work. Tim is also a strong contributor to many of our proposals including our CENSUS win and most recently our BLS task orders.  Literally, he was writing for the BLS task order hours before leaving for the hospital with his wife as she just gave birth to their third child.  Congratulations are in order and a thank you for Tim’s dedication!!! A few weeks ago, Tim left INDUS HQ once again to kick-off a new project at Library of Congress (LOC). Tim helped win a new task order to configure Portal for ArcGIS which will establish a geospatial environment to support low cost Congressional research with cutting-edge geospatial tools and data.

INDUS Division Director Elizabeth Bolak says “We will miss Tim’s support at HQ, but I am glad to have him lead the geospatial effort at LOC. Tim is a proven performer and I am confident his initial support combined with INDUS’ knowledge and experience in the geospatial arena will lead to follow-on opportunities at LOC.”

When not working, Tim enjoys spending time with his kids, fly fishing, home brewing, and mountain biking.

Congratulations, Tim, you are a Super Star!
