VIENNA, Virginia, (April 2, 2009) - INDUS Corporation (INDUS), a leading Federal IT solutions provider, announced today that the General Services Administration (GSA) has re-awarded a GSA Alliant contract to INDUS.
INDUS was one of 29 awardees of a full and open Alliant contract in July 2007. The full and open contracts were awarded in unrestricted competition among contractors without regard to their small- or large-business size. (Another series of Alliant contracts was awarded to small-business competitors.) However, the Alliant contract awards were subjected to protest challenges by certain disappointed bidders, which resulted in GSA re-evaluating the offers and making new contract awards. The new full and open Alliant awards were announced by GSA on March 27, 2009.
Alliant is a 10 year Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract, with a $50 billion contract ceiling. Alliant contracts have a five-year base period and one five-year option period.
″While Alliant has taken longer than expected, we are pleased with the re-award of the contract to INDUS and remain fully committed to being GSA's mid-size Alliant partner of choice,″ said Shiv Krishnan, INDUS' Chairman and CEO. ″Alliant is a key component of INDUS' growth strategy as we continue to grow and advance through the mid-tier of the Federal IT services space. We are committed to working with GSA to provide best value IT services and solutions for all Federal agency customers.″
″We are excited to fully launch our Alliant program,″ said Mike Mullen, INDUS Vice President and GSA Channel Executive. ″Since the initial Alliant award, we have continued to increase our GSA channel presence by proactively marketing and bringing new business opportunities to GSA. INDUS has the resources, capabilities, and focus needed to consistently provide the innovative IT services and solutions that will meet customers' requirements on Alliant.″
