VIENNA, Virginia, (October 23, 2009) — INDUS Corporation announced today that it has teamed with Copper River Information Technology and Security Engineered Machinery Co., Inc. to provide classified waste handling and destruction services over a multi-year period for the Department of State’s Harry S. Truman headquarters facility and certain other State locations in the Washington, D.C. area.
Copper River is an Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified entity that provides information technology (IT) services and solutions to U.S. Government clients in the Defense, Intelligence, and Civil Agency space.

INDUS personnel are responsible for sanitizing hundreds of tons worth of materials containing highly sensitive national security information. The various forms of material to be destroyed include paper, computer storage media, computer disks, hard drives, computer boards, magnetic tapes, data cassettes, toner cartridges, printer ribbons/rollers, microfiche, reels, video tapes, plastics, flags, maps and charts.
